What’s the bloody point of Facebook without networks?
Without them it will no longer be a “Face Book” (I.e. a book of pictures of first-year students, so you can maybe recognize who’re in your classes - universities used to print them up for people).
Facebook = Business card with a picture. It’s worth having a presence for someone to go, “Man… who was that totally hot guy sitting in front of us? Let’s look him up!”, but you’re never going to meet anyone NEW there anymore from your classes or at your school.
This announcement really makes me want to get the whole “private posts VS public consumption” thing figured out (Brendon, I believe you had some ideas in that regard?) and turn this site into my primary, public identity on the internet.
