Apparently it’s all Ajax-ified and the code will be open sourced soon.

For the curious, from what I understand, it’s running on Google’s appengine fetching and caching Twitter feeds, and then the front-end page is using Ajax to fetch it every 62 seconds to catch updates. Hopefully we can get most/all Velocity on it soon enough.
