I used to actually be interested in this sort of thing; but I’ve come to the conclusion that there just are no compelling arguments out there.

That doesn’t mean people can’t be religious, but so far as I can figure it requires faith (belief without proof), and that’s unacceptable to me. At the same time, if you’re willing to believe without proof, no one will ever be able to convince you to change your views.

So why debate it? The believers will continue to believe, since they do not need proof, and those who are skeptical will remain skeptical, since they require proof.
