Wii’s For All

Published: November 23rd, 2006

There are more shipments coming in to EB Games. I’m so tempted to get one.

Also, in a point that might interest Binkle, apparently all of the store stewards who work at Zellers were fired because they were caught stealing XBox 360’s and other electronics out the back doors.

Just thought that would be an interesting tidbit.

I’d type more, but my stomach is still killing me and I cannot think straight enough to string together coherent speech.

Raccoon Eyes is Trying to Kill Me

Published: November 22nd, 2006

I went down to the cafeteria, bought a Spicy Chicken wrap, ate it in my room, and an hour and a half later, I was in fits of bloody…nausea.

Ugh. I feel so terrible. I’m not going to PHIL 202 - despite the fact that I wasted me freebie class when I went drinking with Liam and Andrew. However, I do not want to throw up on Crystal, or Mulva - the army chick. It would be devastating for all parties involved.

Curse you Raccoon Eyes, and your low standards of cleanliness. Curse you straight to hell.

Calc Midterm Blues

Published: November 22nd, 2006

I’ve already told Binkle this fateful story.

For 3/4 of the time during my 2 hour midterm, there was a faint static screech coming over the speakers in the classroom, that the professor either did not notice or chose to ignore for the sake of cruel torture. Eventually, the damn thing screeched loud enough for him to notice, and he casually - ever so coolly - strutted over to the podium and attempted to adjust the volume.

3/4 of the exam time. It was excruciating. But no one else was reacting to it, so I didn’t pipe up.

Ugh…university really blows sometimes.

New Year’s 2006 is Almost Upon Us!!

Published: November 21st, 2006

Okay people.

I’ve sent out an e-mail to kick-start the whole process.

As is detailed in the e-mail, Aaron is unable to offer his house unto our sacrificial pit because he is working, so we need a new location. My house may be possible, but were renovating a room or two, and I am not sure if it will be done by New Year’s. It all depends on whether the new leather couch and that new LCD wall mounted TV gets in.

All of my readers should have received this e-mail except for Blake and Liam. Blake did not receive it because last year he expressed no interest to come, and - in fact - he did not. I did not send one to Liam, because - if I recall correctly - last year Blake was hanging out with you, Carl and that whole gang, and I assumed you were likely doing something again this year.

If either of you does in fact wish to come to our New Year’s game-a-thon, just give me a shout at my e-mail or in the comments here. You don’t have to come if you don’t want to, but it would be nice to add people to our guest list.

And if you know any other gamers who would be interested, e-mail me their names and e-mail addresses, and I’ll add them to the guest list.

PSO!

Published: November 19th, 2006

Daydreaming back to the glory days of Friday nights hunting for those alluring red boxes, I decided to check on DC++ if anyone had a copy of PSO for the computer floating around.

And I found one.

After a shocking two days of downloading, I’ve downloaded PSO, and I have it up and running. I even went so far as to create a character. However, I had to resist playing, especially since I have a midterm in a little over 24 hours.

Still. Might be something Binkle, Andrew, and maybe even Liam should get and we can play it over the Winter work term (which will be more inconvenient for Binkle, who has a schedule that is completely and utterly in opposition of ours.

Wii Day is Upon Us!

Published: November 18th, 2006

The Wii releases today.

Not for a few hours, but yes, it does release today.

I am so excited that I truly wish I had pre-ordered one, however, the temptation to play it while I should be studying/writing finals would be far too great. It is quite likely that I will purchase one during my co-op term, since I will have no living expenses to speak of.

On another note, Yoshi’s Island DS is out. That glorious follow-up to that glorious platform title for the SNES tempts me with its egg-shaped curves, but I will resist. It is a devilishly appealing game, but it will have to wait for another time, for my one true mistress (besides my girlfriend) is Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, which I hope to purchase or acquire around Christmas time.

Just FYI. Anyone who has the money, time, and systems necessary for the aforementioned two games should go out and purchase/pre-order them immediately. Especially Brian. Get Castlevania, you stubborn douchebag. I can guarantee that you will not regret it. I swear upon my own grave, which I will allow you to bury me in - alive - if you dislike the game.

It’s win-win for you, and you don’t have to go to the trouble of arranging a death-by-car bomb for me, which would be extremely difficult due to the fact that I don’t have access to a car.
