Rest in Peace
I still cannot believe that this happened.
When I first saw it on Facebook, I really thought it was a cruel joke. I still wish it had been.
I’ve got so many memories of Caleb, and all the good times we’ve had.
The fact that he is gone…
Well, maybe we can just talk about the good times after the memorial service. Does anyone want to get together at Molly Bloom’s or something and toast the good times we’ve shared with Caleb? Seems like we should do something…I don’t know…
While looking for information about what happened, I actually found this.
…
Also, the announcement that I was going to make at the end of the week was going to be a notice to check your inbox…I wrote the big e-mail to get everyone prepped and aware of the pending New Year’s Eve Party. I talked about the very first New Year’s Eve Party in Caleb’s basement…
I wrote this up and prepared to send it out the day before he died. It really makes you realize how quickly things can change. One minute, someone is around and you’re going to see them on December 31 for Chinese food and gaming…and the next…
Rest in peace Caleb, you will be missed.

Indeed. Even though Caleb and myself were not exactly friends in the traditional sense, as we just happened to be fortunate enough to share the same group of friends, it will be difficult now to recall any New Year’s Eve party without thinking of him.
When the news was first confirmed and I slowly came to terms with it all, I slowly became aware that his blog is still down from the hacker incident we had a couple months back. I still have most of his posts in an archive somewhere that I think I’ll work to put up. I’m sure some people would love to go back and read what was on Caleb’s mind from time to time.
