HAHAHA!
Want to put OSX on your Eee? How about trying to figure out which Linux distro you’d like to swap out the original Xandros for? Well I don’t fucking care, because the best news ever for classless PC putzes like myself has just been announced (last week)!
Finally, a reason to get into the low-cost laptop market!
And now, having posted something about computers, I feel like a real RCGer!

Gee, thanks for the plug. I guess…
On the subject of Eee PCs, it’ll only be a matter of weeks before you all see a video tutorial online on how I put OS X on the Eee.
I also hope to eventually venture into dual-booting the Eee with XP or the latest Ubuntu.
Anyways, you are truly an RCGer now Liam.
WOOT!
Although putting Windows on the Eee is neat, it’s also retarded. It’s way too clunky. It’s similar to putting Windows on a wrist watch or Vista on a Pentium 2; interesting, but impractical.
BTW, post something new, SureShot.
Interesting point for the summer:
Rumor has it that there is some traditional “night of wings” that takes place - can I get in on that? What night is it?
Hey Liam,
Didn’t even realize you had this blog. Anyways, I just wanted to note your About page has nothing on it, so it took me a good 3 minutes to figure who’s blog this was, haha. Just write “Liam’s Blog” in there, okay? Haha.
Tsk tsk tsk.
Ignorance is no excuse Jeremy.
Wolfgang has post, go read!
When is Roborant coming back!?
Whenever I feel the need to post again. And when I shed the annoying virus that has contaminated my computer.
I swear if Ubuntu hadn’t already effed up the first time I tried to install it, I’d already have ditched Windows except to play my awesome games.
I think I figured out your virus problem & why its not fixed yet…
You are waiting for me to move back to Stratford so that I may get your computer running :P
New post; Check-it!
note: just testing to see if I can embed HTML into comments, please ignore.

ok, so maybe tables dont work so well
Fag.
Also, not only did I finally remove that fucking virus (I think), but I also just installed Ubuntu, which pretty much makes me the coolest person you know.
Ryan has Ubuntu on his 3 year old laptop (Pentium M 1.7GHz) and he had it booting faster than his desktop (Intel Q6600) with Vista, but not by much.
I am not bashing Vista, I am actually growing to like it. It just has a bad name out for itself. It has many awesome built in features that kick total ass. Also, in the event that you need to repair it, follow these simple steps:
1. Insert system disc.
2. Start the proper utility from disc. (Haven’t used it myself, so I don’t know what it is called.)
3. When it tell you it found broken bits, click ‘repair.’
This repairs the broken bits and leaves your OS good as new, unlike with XP where is basically reinstalls everything, leaving you with needing to reinstall all of your apps because they don’t function correctly anymore (registry overwritten?).
So yeah, I’m looking forward to a new PC and Vista. If you think its stupid, go fuck yourself :)
Also, comment on my blog. Even if you still had that virus, you don’t need to sign into gmail to comment, you can be anonymous.
Whoa buddy. I didn’t say anything about Vista there. I just called you a fag because of your HTML nonsense. And then I proceeded to tell you about my shining accomplishment of the day. Thanks for ruining it.
Also, I think Vista has its good points as well. I mean, it wasn’t intentionally designed to be a huge piece of shit, and presumably parts of it were specifically designed with the faults of XP in mind.
I’m just saying, Vista got a bad name off the get go (as did XP.. now on SP3). There were driver issues and all this nonsense. With the time crunch they were under, they had to chop so much out (like a new file system, WinFS), its no wonder there were so many bugs. A lot of the bugs are now fixed & its a rather stunning OS.
More HTML
Well, unfortunately for your little trap, my comments are sent to me with the HTML displayed as code. Try harder next time.
Fag.
Windows XP Repair Install is far superior to Vista’s crap.
Sure, Vista’s system works OK… when it works. I had to repair a laptop and it just flat out wouldn’t run the repair scan, and there IS no real repair.
In the end I did an “upgrade install” to the same version of Vista… that too didn’t actually fix my problem, but it’s as close as you can get to a proper repair install.
Finally, I just ended up formatting and starting over. I feel like if I had the same problem in XP I indeed could’ve fixed it.
Just today, though, I had to install some backup software on a Vista system. After a half day of cocking around with UAC, trying to stop it from messing everything up every time the computer rebooted, I just ended up disabling UAC.
I do prefer Vista’s built in backup utility to XP’s (Although, XP’s is basically a message that says “Haha, you’re fucked - I didn’t back up shit!!!”)
It’s great to hear you say that, Binks. I always wondered why I’ve never successfully backed up XP…
Well, having never stilled Vista myself, I cannot speak from experience. However, my CS-genius roommate has been running it with only 1 fault all term. He also repaired someone elses Vista (like i mentioned) and I take his word when it comes to this sort of stuff.
Not to point any finger, but PEBCAK?? I dunno, we have to extreme cases here.
Also with Vista you case use windows media center witht he xbox 360. Sure I am currently sharing media with WMP11, but WMC is just nicer.
Anyway its my bedtime. Ironically I have my OS Final tomorrow morning.
RCG should looking into hosting a general chat lobby for debates and such.
Is it not enough to just call your roommate a genius? Is he somehow deficient in other areas?
And, ouch for Binks. That’s a rather bold acronym you’re throwing out there.
I’m not saying PEBCAK is his problem, just sugesting it as we have extreme cases. By no means, Binks, am I trying to insult you here.
Maybe his hardware isn’t up to snuff for vista. When I got my thinkpad, it came with vista ultimate and even tho it was brand new, it being an ultra-portable, it just didn’t have the juice to run it nicely.
Well, good luck with that. When are you coming home?
I might be home on the weekend, but I move home for good on the 17th.
Later.
