New “Feature” coming out tonight: Applications will now be able to post different data types to walls.
So, I suppose, instead of someone leaving you a message on your wall saying, “Become a zombie!”, the “Zombie” application will now be able to post a photo or video on your wall, saying that you should become a zombie.
Ugh. The wall was the one place that I knew that I would always be able to avoid the garbage that seems to be all over the place nowadays.
Heck, the only thing that made facebook something that I used more than an address book was the activity feeds and the wall posts.
I now suggest we do something impressive, and aggressive - we put out a facebook application that feeds a user’s activity feed out through an RSS feed. That way, in Google Reader, I can get my facebook fix, and not need to put up with quite as much garbage. The only thing I don’t know is if that would be a TOS (terms of service) violation.
/me will investigate more.
