Well, what most of you don’t know is that I’ve bought up a domain or two in my time.

I picked up mbinkle dot com, as well as binkle dot ca (unfortunately, they’re with different registrars, and they have different renewal dates… but such is life…).

I’m still not exactly sure what to do with the mbinkle address (might end up redirecting it to my blog or something), but I CAN think of a use for the binkle dot ca address - email! (mattATmbinkleDOTcom just seemed stupid… although I guess it’s not really that bad… hmmmm….)

Specifically through Google Apps for your Domain - which just recently removed the one big stumbling block to me moving over completely to matt a.t binkle d0t ca - Google Apps will start matching the space available on Gmail!

So, whereas before, the storage limit was 2 GB, it will now be up to the almost THREE that Google is offering gmail users.

No… I don’t have 3 GB of email… Yes, it was merely a psychological stumbling block… and yes, I suppose you MIGHT be able to get an aatt binkle doot Ca address… maybe…

(NOTE: Still haven’t taken the plunge - I’m still mbinkleA-Tgmail.com for now. If/when things change, I’ll let you know. Do you guys think I should go for the custom domain, and forever identify myself as a geek with my own domain name? Comments in the comments…)
