Post Script: Ah, apparently they were putting some non-stick junk on the steps (who would’ve thought that slate tile would be slippery!?!?). Right now we’re in Day 2 of being unable to use the front door. They’d tried to put down these yellow non-slip strips a month or two ago, but they fell off within about 2 hours - hopefully this time they’ll have more luck.
