At A Loss

Wow.

I have not provided a substantial update to this place in so long, it is starting to look tired, sad and neglected.

For the past hour or so, I’ve been sitting and contemplating which topics would be readily available to write about, but nothing truly interesting is coming to mind.

As mentionned earlier, I appear to have run head-on into one of my trademark depressive states that is often coupled with an utter lack of initiative to do anything. Generally, it seems such moods approach at the dawn of the summer. Perhaps I have some opposition to the warmer months of the year, or maybe my mind is generally irritated by the unrelenting heat and annoying insects that come with the warmer months.

Nevertheless, I do wish to maintain this blog and keep it alive and kicking, so to speak. However, with my current state of apathy and my surprising disenchantment with video games, I wonder if regular posting on this blog will become…irregular.

Over at the Red Card Group, it seems that we’ve all given up. Our podcast was never anything truly special, and I think that once we established that it could simply be done, we neglected to improve it. And so, it slowly slid backwards and downwards until we reached Podcast #5, where one of our members was absent, and half of the attendees were detached from the recording and its topics.

It is currently being debated what the future of the Red Card Group will be. Personally, I don’t mind it being a network of blogs. Bearing that in mind, perhaps we should readily welcome other people into our little net of users including a reintroduction of Klaver, and perhaps extending offers to Caleb or Liam or something. Who knows? Personally, I’ve grown tired of the podcast. It feels like we’re not doing anything. At least when I blog, I get a few comments, and I get the general impression (or I can at least pretend) that I have a dedicated readership. When it comes to our audio podcast, I don’t even think we - the hosts - listen to the final product after it is released.

So, perhaps we should merely become a network of bloggers. One thing I’ve wanted is a change of name. The Red Card Group is not the best choice of name, as it doesn’t really mean anything. The name is truly random, and bears no significance to anything. I don’t even know how we decided that it would be the moniker we push forward with. If memory serves, it may have been the result of web domain availability.

Anyway, I think we should scale back and become a network of enthusiastic bloggers. Maybe contemplate a name change in the future. Have the Red Card Group evolve into something else…DataDyne Industries or something.

Well, that’s all. This post has lost my interest.
