For those who regularly read this blog, you will recall that my family has made a tradition of going to Pont-au-Baril every summer to stay at my uncle’s cottage. Last year, I left on the 20th of July. This year, I will be leaving at 3 PM on the 15th of July.

We will be taking two vehicles (due to newcomers) and we will return on the 21st of July.

The newcomers to our clan include my brother’s girlfriend, Adriana, as well as Sophie, our golden retriever. On our previous trip, we didn’t take a dog at all because Marley - our first golden retriever - had just passed away.

Sam would be coming to the cottage as well, but certain complications prevented her from doing so.

Last year, I set up some goals that I wanted to accomplish on this trip. Let’s see how many of them are now moot and can be discarded:

- an attractive lady friend Special thanks to Sam for filling this crucial role in my life. - a group of generic cottage friends - a quiet spot to read Last year, I scouted out all the premo reading locales. The best one is the old grey couch in the guest room…in case you’re interested. - a large collection of pictures - true enlightenment to rub in the face of Buddhists everywhere - the cure for cancer - the meaning of life - a weapon that can kill God Turpentine, acetone and benzene. I call it, the “Dip”.

Hmm. Quite entertaining indeed.

Well, enough of that. I’m pissed off that my cottage trip was tarnished by a jealous supervisor, but no matter.
