Wow. So, Nintendo had a big press event today (or yesterday). And we have a lot to be excited about.
So, everyone, prepare to experience a Nintendogasm.
The new DS has - among other things - a 3.0 megapixel camera built in, a smaller design, larger screens (they axed the GBA slot), web browsing and photo editing capabilities built right in, and - this is the big one - SD card support. That’s right. The Virtual Console is being rebranded to apply not only to the Wii, but to the DS as well. Remember when we talked about it long long ago. It has happened. Finally.
They talked about the new Pikmin game. Unfortunately, it appears to just be a remake of the original but built exclusively for the Wii. I’m really hoping that this isn’t the Pikmin game Miyamoto talked about in brief at E3. That would disappoint me. Thoroughly. But they make up for it (kind of) with the text point…
