Why do people act like every game should have online leaderboards nowadays? I mean…is it crucial to the gaming experience? Do we need to feel as if we’ve done better than someone else in order to enjoy a game?
Frankly, I don’t see the point. Maybe for First Person Shooters with a team aspect (TF2, Left 4 Dead, Halo 3, etc, etc), but does Pikmin really need leaderboards? The IGN reviewer who played through the Pikmin re-release for Wii seems to think so.
And I think that is absurd.
