Bailout Request from Watchmen Screenwriter

Seems like the movie isn’t up to snuff with most fans/people.

So, David Hayter - one of the writers of the screenplay - sent out this open letter to everyone. Somewhat interesting. Now movie directors and producers who make a movie that isn’t immediately approachable (apparently) are going to be whining to everyone about helping them out and giving them a second chance?

Ugh…the problem with the movie is that it isn’t the same as the comic book. The comic book you can re-read multiple times without repaying them. You cannot make a movie that needs to be watched half a dozen times to “get” it. If people don’t like it enough the first time, they are not going to pay full ticket price to see it multiple times.

I feel like not seeing it in theatres just because of how desperate and pathetic I find this letter.
